Regulation on 'Protection of Buildings Against Noise',
It was published in the Official Gazette on June 1, 2018 and entered into force.
Amendments were made to the Regulation on the Protection of Buildings Against Noise, which brought the rules for sound insulation in order to prevent the noise caused by neighbors and other elements in residential areas such as residences and workplaces. The Regulation on the Amendment to the Regulation on the Protection of Buildings Against Noise was published in the Official Gazette today.
14 DESIBELES FROM 10 DESIBELS
With the regulation prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the decibel values of the walls containing the doors of the buildings such as housing, workplace, education, health facilities were rearranged. Accordingly, based on ISO standards, sound insulation values of building elements containing doors have been increased from maximum 10 decibels to 14. In addition, the number of floors of the buildings that do not require acoustic expert in design has been increased from five to seven.
Thus, acoustic evaluation of buildings that are widely constructed and do not involve special materials / construction techniques and do not require acoustic expertise training is provided. With the provisional article, it was included in the arrangement that the acoustic expertise activities for all structures within the scope of the regulation can be prepared by the project authors for a year by preparing an acoustic report.
