WHAT ARE THE APPLICATIONS THAT HAVE REQUIRED WITH THE WATERPROOFING REGULATION?

Waterproofing applications have become a legal requirement with the Waterproofing Regulation issued on 27.11.2017. Working and
Insulation of buildings is mandatory with the Planned Areas Zoning Regulation issued by the Ministry of Social Security on 03.07.2017
Waterproofing Regulation on Buildings, which will determine the principles of application, will be published in the official newspaper on 27.10.2017
Published. "Regulation on Waterproofing in Buildings" signed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and published in the Official Gazette,
It will take effect on June 1, 2018.

The purpose of this Regulation is to create a purpose of this Regulation; corrosion caused by exposure to water or moisture in various ways,
against situations that pose a risk to sustainability, health and use, with factors such as endurance and loss of strength,
the measures to be taken in terms of design and construction and the procedures and principles for the rules to be followed.

After June 1, 2018, the following decisions were taken.

1- The waterproofing details of the carrier sections of the building will now be shown in the project:
• Waterproofing details, drainage systems and related standards of materials to be used, and architectural and installation projects
will be shown.
• Waterproofing details associated with sub-basic, iksa surfaces, distillation, as well as indicated in the static project.

2-Application and design rules have been created:
• Waterproofing in new buildings will be applied (positive) from the side where the building elements are exposed to water.
• The rules on surface preparation before waterproofing will be observed.

3- Special conditions were introduced from the whole building to the selection of design and materials:
• Regulation, the provisions defined for the whole building are also basic, flooring and curtain walls, balconies and roofs, wet volumes, water
design and material selection, as well as application with waterproofing applications to be made in warehouses and pools
special conditions.
• Waterproofing materials contained in the project details and which are intended to be used, in the standards of the relevant national application rules,
technical specifications and this regulation will need to provide the minimum performance characteristics defined.
• The thickness and/or consumption information provided to the performance characteristics of the materials must be shown in the project details
Brought.

4- Insulation requirement up to subasman level in all buildings:
• Waterproofing applications on basic and curtain walls, all buildings with or without basements, at least subasman
to the level of insulation will continue to be sustained.
• Waterproofing design of surfaces that come into contact with the soil (foundations, curtain walls, flooring, etc.) is the purpose of the building's use, structural
the features, the basic type and depth, along with the floor and the ground characteristics specified in the basic study report (permeability, ground water level,
the chemical properties of the ground/water and so on) and the seasonally high groundwater level will be taken into account.

5- Insulation obligation against pressure water effect in tall buildings:
• Buildings with basements with a building height of more than 51.50 meters or with a closed use area of more than 10 thousand m2, under all conditions
waterproofing against water effect has been made mandatory.

6-Insulation has been made mandatory in buildings with a water level below the base:
• In buildings whose basics and/or curtains are located below ground water level, the
insulation measures against pressure water effect will be mandatory.

7- Waterproofing will be designed in accordance with the type, slope and purpose of the roof:
• In the insulation details to be applied on balconies and roofs, the slope of the surface, the area, its purpose, the type of roof, the plantation is carried out and
climate such as temperatures, wind loads, rainfall, harmful rays of the sun.
effects will be taken into account.
• Sloping roofs, terrace roofs (non-sightings) and water in balconies and similar areas, which come into contact with soil or outdoor air
In insulation measures, the effect of unpressurized water will be taken into account.
• The evacuation system, which is laid to prevent the accumulation of water on the roof and balcony surfaces and to remove it from the structure,
purpose and size, rainfall quantity, such as features will be designed taking into account.
• The rainwater on the roofs will be removed from the exterior of the building at the shortest distance without being enclosed in the structure.

8- Waterproofing will be designed in wet volumes taking into account the impact class of water:
• Waterproofing measures to be applied in wet volumes use density, wet volume water impact classes and application subsurfaces
will be determined by being held in front of you.
• Waterproofing in wet volumes such as singulate showers, bathrooms, kitchens and so on in design; non-pressure-free water effect
will be taken into account.

• In schools, hospitals and similar buildings, wet volumes such as public toilets, showers and baths are dense
the effect of unpressurized water will be taken into account.
• Evacuation systems will be designed to remove water from the structure without accumulation.

9- In water tanks and pools, the amount of water, pressure properties and materials in external and internal applications
quality and structural impermeability will be ensured in any case:

• In water tanks, pools in or outside the building (ornamental, swimming, etc.), with large volumes of water and full-empty
waterproofing details and coating materials to be used in structures where pressure differences may occur in wall walls,
as a whole will be treated in harmony with each other and the application will be designed and applied together.
• In the insulation applications to be made internally according to the amount of water and pressure properties, against the water effect requiring external insulation
surfaces will be covered with materials that do not disturb the quality of the water.
• Structural impermeability will also be provided in water tanks and pools in all cases.

10-Minimum criteria of materials were defined with waterproofing application rules:
• Waterproofing materials contained in the project details and are intended to be used in the relevant national application rules,
provide and apply minimum performance characteristics defined in technical specifications and in this regulation
in addition to the details, the materials will need to be defined in the minimum criteria that they must carry.
