Before the leveling screed is laid, acoustic mattress products are laid on the floor and overlapped with a minimum of 3cm overlaps. Products laid on the floor should be removed from the skirting boards according to the screed thickness. This application will ensure that the floating screed system is fully formed and cuts the contact between the leveling screed and the walls.
Generally, 5mm thick acoustic mattress is used between the floors. 5mm standalone airborne sound insulation value is 31 dB. 8mm or 10 mm acoustic mattress can be used in areas where there is load and sound density such as hotel, hospital, wedding halls, school. The sound insulation value of the 8 mm product alone is 38 dB and the sound insulation value of the 10 mm product is 41 dB.
After choosing the appropriate product type, leveling screed is applied on acoustic mattress products.
